Production Information:

Hedda Gabler has returned from an extended honeymoon with her kind, but tediously academic, husband. Beautiful and self-possessed, but also haunted, she is already bored with marriage. Suffocated by bourgeois society and disdainful of intellectual pursuits, she tries to fulfill her aimless desires by manipulating the fates of those around her…with tragic results.

Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler is a fascinating, paradoxical portrait of a woman slipping into despair as her options narrow in a world expanding for both sexes.
