I volunteer as a tutor with the Youth Tutoring Program (YTP). This incredible program helps students in Seattle area low-income housing communities--most from immigrant families--with reading, math, and homework. Over time, that adds up to building confidence and helping them reach their dreams.
I've been volunteering long enough that I've seen a lot of kids grow up. One student I tutored for several years is now a sophomore at the UW--he's traveled less than 10 miles, but it's still a long way from Green Eggs and Ham!
This month we kick off the 2018/2019 school year with our annual fundraising campaign. Please help support YTP in giving low income and public housing students structured, individualized tutoring sessions that challenge and enrich kids and change lives!
